Sphere
This composition was made in response to the gallery space at House of Art, Cseke Budejovice. Obsessive and time consuming - a work of great delicacy.
The two compositions of many hundreds of ordinary, discarded objects - an extensive collection, the by products of her partners own creative enterprise and manufacture; nuts, bolts, screws, keys, nails and pins - are suspended to form seperately a sphere and a wall in space. Each individual element is both seperate from and united to the other parts. The work draws you in to investigate, to study and to enjoy the relationship between the objects colour, shape and form.
The quiet contemplative process and the attention invested in the piece breathes a life force into the work and lends an energy to what is essentially inaminate.
